Like energy, water is an essential component of almost all human ocupations. Water supply is vital to feeding a growing world population, to produce assets that determine lifting living standards and integrity for maintaining the natural systems on which the life on earth depends.

How Long Can You Live Without Water
If you were to read any book on survival, it will be mentioned that you find a source of clean and drinkable water because it is really the most important consideration. You have heard the story of how people can survive for 14 days without food but you will not be able guess how long can you live without water. Water is by far the most important element for human body besides oxygen. During survival, it is not easy to find a clean source of water but if you want to survive, you must find your clean source of water.
Many studies have been conducted and it is confirmed that a human body is made from 50% to 70% water. Water is one of the most important elements in your body. If there is no water in your body, your organs will not work properly and dehydration will start taking place.
t takes 8 to 14 days without water before our body systems start to deteriorate. However, it is also depends on the climates and the activities that you are engaged to. The faster water and liquids is removed from you body such as sweat, urine and even tears, the faster it is before your body start to ask for more water. When your body need more water, you will feel dizzy and headache as the body will need more liquid to ensure the flow of blood to your brain. It is important to drink a lot of water. When you are sick, the doctor will advice you to drink as many water as possible because water will be able to clean out the bacteria and it will enhance the flow of you blood causing the antibody to react faster.
If you are losing more water than you are taking in, dehydration will occur and it may result fatally. In recent study, if your body loses 2.5% of liquid in your body, you will loose 25% if your efficiency. If you are lost in a forest of any situation that require you to survive, losing one full quarter of your physical and mental abilities could lead to dehydration can it has proven to be fatal.
